Rachel Wolf, L.OM. Dipl. OM.

Rachel Wolf is a licensed acupuncturist and nationally certified herbalist. She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City with a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTOM), where she trained for four years in both acupuncture and Chinese herbs. She has trained with Claudia Citkovitz L.Ac. at Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn in the labor and delivery department, where they use acupuncture for pain management. She is certified in Virginia Doran’s facial rejuvenation acupuncture, has conducted research on the use of Chinese herbs and muscular spasms. She is also certified by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to better support patients battling various types of cancers. Further, she has Bachelor’s degree in the arts from New York University and a deep understanding of anatomical movement from years of dedicated yoga practice.

Rachel was raised in a family of medical professionals. Her mother’s focus was in mental health and her father’s was in physical health. Rachel’s interest in Chinese medicine was stimulated because of the connection it draws between the mental and physical aspects of being human, and the desire to help people achieve balance between the two. She felt Chinese Medicine was a uniting modality that weaves these different dimensions of human experience together.

Her treatments may consist of various techniques of acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, tuina, and nutritional advice. In addition to these hands-on modalities, she has a special interest in working with Chinese herbal remedies and food-therapy.

Rachel’s intention is to help her patients to be their best selves. As an attentive listener and a compassionate person, Rachel approaches her practice life with a sense of humor and an open mind. She is deeply honored to be a member of the Six Fishes team.

Best Acupuncture & herbalist in Philadelphia – I went to see Cara with so many problems. I was having women issues, GI stomach problems, recovering from a Mercury Detox and just an overall feeling of BLAH. Cara brought me back to health with herbs and acupuncture. After getting healthy, I became pregnant and went back to her because I was a day late and fearful of getting induced. She naturally induced me and that night I gave birth. I have also had Cara do NAET on both my baby and myself. We both had soy allergies and today, I drink soy milk. Before when I would drink soy milk, the baby would get cradle cap but now..he has no reaction after I eat soy. I think she is great.
