Ryan has worked with Cara Frank for over 12 years running the day-to-day operations of the Six Fishes herb dispensary. He is dedicated to the care of Six Fishes patients, and he prides himself on finding the highest quality herbs to serve the practice. Ryan manages three herbal dispensaries: raw, liquid concentrate, and granular herbs, from, which he prepares the custom formulas that are our specialty.

In addition to servicing the patients at Six Fishes, Ryan is the manager of China Herb Company, which is the oldest mail order Chinese herb dispensary in the country. China Herb provides custom formulas to practitioners and their patients across the country. He maintains strict quality control and safety assurance standards that include a batch-tracking system so that every herb used is accounted for.

Ryan has nearly two decades of experience in martial arts and Qigong. He spent over a decade studying That Son Than Vo Dao (Seven Mountain Spirit Fist Kung Fu), a Vietnamese style of Kung Fu where he was given a red sash (Junior Master). After reaching this level of mastery, Ryan was still looking for something more, and that is when he found Chen Style Taijiquan (Tai Chi). After devoting himself to the art of Taiji for many years. Ryan was certified to teach many aspects of Chen style Taijiquan, and continues to further his studies under Chen Xiaoxing, Chen Bing, Ren Guang Yi, and many other high level practitioners. He is currently teaching in Fairmount Park, off Kelly Drive, Palo Santo Wellness in South Philadelphia, as well as with private students.

Cara is simply the best! So knowledgable; her acupuncture and customized herb mixtures have knocked out sinusitis, bronchitis, stomach ailments…she’s worth traveling from the ‘burbs to go see. Philadelphia is lucky to have someone of her knowledge, experience and down-to-earth manner.
