In practice for more than 30 years, Six Fishes has treated thousands of patients with a wide range of complex disorders and illnesses. The practitioners Six Fishes are highly trained in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Our team has a combined 80 years of clinical experience. We feel strongly that Chinese Medicine is one of the most pragmatic and effective options to treat disease and alleviate suffering.

Acupuncture originated in China over 2,500 years ago and continues to be used today by much of the world’s population. Additionally, it is estimated that 80% of the world’s population relies on herbal medicine as part of their health care. It is for this reason that continued learning and discovery in this ancient healing practice is ongoing among all members of the Six Fishes team.

Cara Frank is the founder of Six Fishes. In addition to her patient practice, she is the Director of Chinese Herbology at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. Her passion about herbal medicine led her to establish the very first herbal dispensary in the United States. She recently completed a book of commentary on ear, nose and throat disorders for publication in early 2014. Because of the dual expertise of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Six Fishes practitioners are often sought out for consultations by other acupuncturists. The team welcomes the opportunity to not only learn, but to share the learning with others in the community.

I’ve been going to Cara since the beginning of the year because of health problems. I lost a lot of weight and I was very sick so my sister recommended I set up an appointment with Cara. I did not have any problems setting up my first appointment. I was not sure what to expect when I met with her but she made me feel very comfortable. It was easy to talk with her about everything and she gave me my very own herbal mixture. I’ve been in good health for a while now and I attribute that to Cara’s healing hand. She’s now a special part of my life and I thank her for that.
