Sul Choi, L.OM, Dipl.OM
ACUPUNCTURIST AT SIX FISHESFrom her struggles with severe eczema since early childhood and dissatisfaction with Western medical treatment results, Sul was determined from a young age to find answers for her ailments and others suffering from similar conditions.
She discovered acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Which showed profound respect and wisdom for the body. While still in school, she undertook advanced studies in Chinese Medical Dermatology with Mazin Al-Kafhaji, the world expert on this topic. Sul specializes in treating dermatological disorders, autoimmune conditions, allergies, gastrointestinal concerns, and cosmetic treatments. She believes that lifestyle, diet, and supplementation are important pillars of sustained healing and incorporates these into her treatment plans.

CHINESE MEDICINE LOVE STORY
What brings you joy?
Herbs. I love the hundreds of Traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, learning about herbs used in other healing traditions, using food as medicine, and finding the most effective ways to use them. I also love delving into modalities such as moxibustion, tai chi, crystals, and essential oils as adjunct therapies.

how I work
What’s your superpower?
TIn short, dermatologic and allergic conditions! Autoimmune, gastrointestinal, and cosmetic acupuncture are also some of my favorites. Infantile skin conditions are treated safely through herbal baths, as babies have superbly absorbent skin. Conditions include but are not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, fungal infections, allergic rhinitis and sinusitis, food allergies, and sensitivities.

who I am
What was before Six Fishes?
Before Six Fishes, I worked at a clinic outside Chicago, Illinois, raising my young daughter with my husband and two fur babies. We all use holistic medicine regularly and enjoy being outdoors for our mental and physical health! Tennis, golf, martial arts, and hiking are a few of our favorite activities.
