    ACUPUNCTURIST AT SIX FISHES

Paul Cybularz, L.OM., is a bright and compassionate practitioner of Oriental Medicine. He believes that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind and that society can only be as vibrant as its members. Through improving his patient‘s health, he hopes to contribute to a kinder, more compassionate, more vibrant world. His treatment methodology integrates modern biomedical research insights along with the time-tested methods of traditional Chinese medicine. Both serve as pillars that guide him in providing well-rounded care suited to the litany of health challenges many of us face today.

Paul graduated from Drexel with a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science and earned his M.S. in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine. He has had the fortune to study under/with the late Dr. Richard Tan, Dr. Huang Huang, Dr. Flaws, and more. Paul
believes that collaborative care yields more permanent results. Working with him, you’ll jointly design your vision for your future health and the path to get there. Through food, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and lifestyle changes, Paul believes that many of us can reach a level of health that we previously hadn’t thought possible.

  • CHINESE MEDICINE LOVE STORY

    What brings you joy?

As a child, Paul’s father traveled frequently. He would often come home with fantastical tales of far-off lands; however, it was the tales that revolved around the mysterious acupuncture needles his father brought home that was most fascinating. Originally planning on becoming a medical doctor, Paul’s mind was changed when he saw a family member suffering from debilitating migraines. Years of medication had yielded little results, so seeing this loved one free of migraines after only five acupuncture sessions opened both his eyes and his mind. The acupuncturist, upon seeing this 16-year-old captivated by these treatments, permitted Paul to follow him for a month. At times, he even let Paul help fill the custom herbal formulas! Since then, Paul has been hooked. Seeing his patients live with more energy in their steps and light in their eyes is what makes this rewarding, even after 10+ years of practice.

  • how I work

    What’s your superpower?

Since graduating, Paul has been fortunate enough to work in integrated medical facilities, originally at the Myrna Brind Center for Integrated Medicine and then later at both The Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) and Dedicated Senior Medical Centers. Through practicing in a wide variety of clinical situations ranging from inpatient care at the hospital to senior care and primary practice, Paul has developed an evidence-based appreciation and aptitude for what Chinese Medicine can do. Seeing illness across the spectrum, including manifestations in his own health, Paul realized that the clinical insights regarding the importance of digestive health by Li Dong-Yuan around 1110 rang truer than ever. Through his own experience with health challenges, Paul has the passion, empathy, and competence to see his patients through their own health crises. He uses nutrition and herbal medicine to complement his acupuncture treatments. His research and experience have led him to specialize in digestive health, pain, oncology, and geriatrics. However, he’s also well-versed in everything from allergies to fertility.
