Crystal Horkins, DAC, L.AC
AcupuncturistCrystal is a passionate acupuncturist with extensive experience across various clinics, treating a diverse patient population. Her practice focuses on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and the Balance Method, with special interests in pregnancy, postpartum care, and facial rejuvenation. Crystal's personal experience with childbirth inspired her to support birthing people and their families, leading her to train as a community doula and lactation peer counselor through the Maternity Care Coalition in Philadelphia.
She completed her acupuncture training at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine and holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. Crystal values the personalized care inherent in Chinese medicine, which tailors treatments to individuals rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
“You have to live spherically – in many directions. Never lose your childish enthusiasm – and things will come your way.” – Federico Fellini.
This quote encapsulates my approach to life and healing. I believe in embracing all aspects of life, maintaining a sense of wonder and curiosity, and trusting that the right path will unfold.

CHINESE MEDICINE LOVE STORY
What Brings you Joy?
“See a need, Fill a need” – Robots.
What brings me immense joy is helping people and making connections. This is why I am so passionate about my work. I firmly believe that healing starts with understanding and begins with sharing stories. Your story is not just important to me, it’s crucial. It provides valuable insights into your life and health, and it’s a privilege to be a part of your healing journey.
I look forward to hearing and understanding your story and working with you to begin the healing process. -
HOW I WORK
What is your Superpower?
I keep it simple. I will meet you where you are and take things one step at a time. I will always be supportive of your choices. I am passionate about self-advocacy, equal and accessible treatments for all, and community education. I provide trauma-informed care, which means first getting informed consent, building trust, and creating a safe and supportive environment to help you be honest with what you need when you come to Six Fishes.

WHO I AM
What was before Six Fishes?
Outside of my professional life, I am and forever will be a student. I love to read, take classes, and explore new places; learning fuels me. In life, learning never ends, which means I will probably live a long, wonderful life (with the help of some longevity herbs, of course).
I am also a mom and enjoy spending time with my child because I get to be one simultaneously.
